Stacking Bulk Bags

Judi Kelly • Feb 01, 2019

Here is how to stack Bulk Bags, and how not to....

Stacking

When stacking filled bulk bags, they must be stacked with stability as the priority. Ideally the bags will be stacked in between two walls/supports (three if possible).

Should this not be possible, a pyramid method should be used to ensure stability.

When stacking filled bulk bags, weight and pressure on the lower level of bags must be considered.

Also the height of the bag should be considered when stacking, specifically when using the pyramid method.

It is recommended that the manufacturer or supplier be consulted before stacking the FIBCs.
