Quad/Baffle bags

Judi Kelly • May 05, 2018

See how a baffle panel is attached.

Baffle bags are used to reduce the ‘bulging’ on the sides of bulk bags. This helps when loading filled bags into restricted spaces such as into a container or on a lorry.

Here is how the baffles are attached to the outer bag.

A piece of fabric is sewn to the panels of a bag, crossing over the corners. These pieces of fabric have holes punched into them to allow the product to flow into the corners of the bag.

If the product does not fill the corners, it is likely to be unstable. This is why baffle bags are not suitable for some products.
