Hazardous & Conductive

Hazardous & Conductive

We offer a wide range of specialised bags which include UN approved and conductive bags.

Hazardous/UN bags

UN Bags are manufactured to an extremely high standard and must meet strict test criteria. These tests include:-

- Drop Test
- Tear Test
- Top Lift Test
- Topple Test
- Stacking Test
- Righting Test

These tests allow hazardous powders to be transported in bulk bags.

The material being transported in the bulk bags will be put into a specific category and given a packaging group. Packaging group III is the least hazardous product, whilst Packaging Group I is for the most dangerous goods. We offer all three packaging groups.
Another type of hazard is static electricity.

Our conductive bags are available in type C and D, depending on your individual requirements.

To give a general guild on the bag types:-

Type C incorporates conductive threads interconnected across the seams and requires earthing. These bags have ‘earthing lugs’ where earthing equipment is attached, generally at the top and bottom of the bag.

Type D have conductive threads that are not interconnected and do not require earthing because static is dissipated by corona.
